The Magpul CTR Carbine Stock has a light, anti-snag, A-framed design that protects the latch from accidentally releasing. Designed as a lightweight upgrade to the AR-15’s original six-position adjustable stock, The Magpul CTR Stock provides the same adjustments in a lighter, more comfortable package with better lock-up.
CTR® Stock: Mil-Spec Fitment
The CTR® Stock is designed to fit all mil-spec buffer tubes. These tubes have an outer diameter of 1.148″.

MOE® vs. CTR® Stock
Magpul’s MOE and CTR stocks are identical in their form, size, and function, save for one difference: The upgraded CTR stock weighs approximately 0.8 ounces more than the MOE. This extra weight is attributed to the CTR’s patented Friction Lock, which engages alongside the adjustment lever.
The MOE stock has no Friction Lock device. The CTR’s Friction Lock eliminates all “slop and wobble” when engaged, reducing the stock’s movement during fire and enhancing accuracy.
